Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026
Ponpon Joy ("we", "us") develops and publishes mobile games, including Gummy Wheels for Android. This policy explains what information our games collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: the game needs no account and works offline, your progress stays on your device, crash reports are always sent so we can fix bugs, and analytics and ad measurement only happen if you say yes.
Information we collect
- Crash reports. When the game crashes, freezes or hits an unexpected error, a report goes to our crash reporting provider, Sentry. It contains the device model, operating system version, game version, the technical details of the error and a short trail of the game events that led up to it (for example that a level had just started). Reports never include screenshots, your name or your contact details. We send them without asking because we cannot keep the game working without them.
- Usage analytics. Only with your consent, we send gameplay events to our analytics provider, PostHog: the game being opened, installed or updated, which levels you start, when you open the shop, when you tap or buy a coin pack, and your consent choice itself. Events carry a random installation identifier plus the device model, operating system version, game version and an approximate location derived from your IP address. This tells us which levels are too hard or too easy and what players enjoy.
- Ad measurement. Only with your consent, install and purchase events are shared with Meta Platforms, together with the Android advertising ID, so we can tell whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram bring in players. Meta handles this data under its own privacy policy.
- Purchases. Coin packs are optional in-app purchases processed by Google Play. Google handles the payment and tells the game which product was bought. We never see your payment details.
- Support email. If you write to us, we keep your message and email address for as long as it takes to help you.
Your progress, coins, characters and settings are stored only on your device. There is no account and no cloud sync, so uninstalling the game deletes them. The game shows no third-party ads and contains no chat or social features.
How we use it
To keep the game running smoothly and fix bugs, to understand how the game is played so we can tune it, and to measure our own advertising. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for any other purpose. For players in the EEA and the UK, the legal bases are our legitimate interest in a working game (crash reports and support) and your consent (analytics and ad measurement).
Who we share it with
Only the providers named above, and only for the purposes described: Sentry (crash reports), PostHog (analytics), Meta Platforms (ad measurement) and Google (Google Play and Google Play Billing). They process the data on our behalf, may do so on servers outside your country, and are bound by their own privacy commitments and by data processing agreements with us.
Your choices
The first time you launch the game it asks whether analytics and ad measurement may be enabled. You can change your answer at any time in Settings, under Analytics. Switching it off stops any further analytics and ad events from being sent. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Android settings. Crash reports cannot be switched off inside the game.
How long we keep it
Crash reports are kept for 90 days. Analytics events are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted or fully anonymised. Meta keeps ad measurement data according to its own policy. Support emails are deleted once your request is resolved, unless we need them to keep helping you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to receive a copy of it, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because the game holds no account, we identify your data by the random installation identifier; if you contact us we will explain what we can find and remove it. Withdrawing consent in Settings does not affect what was collected before.
Children
Gummy Wheels is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
